Before handling the cameras and going to create our title sequence, we had to undertake a tutorial that introduced us to the basics of using the equipment.
Firstly we sat through a PowerPoint presentation explaining the key features of the camcorder like the canvas, zooming features and how to put the camera into focus.
We also learnt basic skills like turning the camcorder on and off, inserting memory cards and how to put the camera into focus.
After we were comfortable with the camcorder, we were shown how to set up a tripod stand before doing it ourselves.
I found this tutorial very helpful as it enabled me to use the camcorder more efficiently.
